Lesson Two - State Constitutions Exprssed Dependence on God

How's this for some faith based reality to the founding of this great nation - the following States constitutions had language that clearly made it known that Christianity was the chosen faith of the Land and that each State had the power (not the Federal govt) to respect and honor these religious values.

Delaware, New Jersey, Georgia, Maryland, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island.

Most of the States also required that office holders be followers of Christ and the Christian faith - even Rhode Island.

The modern day belief of separation of church and state is a falsehood people.

Lesson One - Christian Colleges That May Surprise You

Did you know this? Four founding universities in America based their values in the Christian faith - as did the rest of the land. Check it. Snopes it out.

Harvard University was founded in 1633 by John Eliot, a minister known as the "apostle to the Indians". Harvard used to have these words in their "Rules and Precepts" in 1646: "Let every student be plainly instructed...the main end of his life and studies is to know God and Jesus Christ." Today, Harvard just gained notoriety for allowing a sex club on campus. http://www.boston.com/yourcampus/news/harvard/2012/12/harvard_college_officially_recognizes_kinky_sex_club.html

Yale University was started in 1701 and required the "Westminster Confession" in which it was for the "upholding of the Christian protestant religion by succession of learned and orthodox men." Today it is believed that one in four attending is gay and hence it is called the Gay Ivy school. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2009/07/why_is_yale_the_gay_ivy.html

King's College in New York was founded in the 1700s and at one time ran an add that said the following: "the chief thing that is aimed at in this college is to teach and engage the children to know God in Jesus Christ...". Last year they promoted Islam more than most. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ctZoxsuxc4

William and Mary, founded in 1693, and it's goals were printed saying the "Christian faith may be propagated amongst the Western Indians, to the Glory of Almighty God." A few years ago it started removing crosses from their chapels. http://hamptonroads.com/node/230261
